Release Notes: A ray tracer demo was included along with many bugfixes and improvements.
Release Notes: The demo plugin system has been extended with functions to pass effect's parameters to plugins by using a parameter list. This makes it possible to add effects defined in a database or from a script. Bugs were fixed and overall functionality was improved. Some simple effect and filter plugins were added to the PLUGINS directory to demonstrate the ease of implementing new effects/filters. The MULTILAYER demo showcases all the new functionality.
Release Notes: This release has been extended with a runtime pluggable multi-layered demo effects plugin system, which is able to show a lot of effects, filters, and transition plugins concurrently, and can be used to create demos. Plugins can be found in the PLUGINS directory. Check out the new MULTILAYER demo to see the system in action.
Release Notes: TDEC's libWPCG was improved. An animation manager was added. Objects can now share models and animate independently from each other. The DEMON effect was extended and the new DEMONS effect was added which demonstrates libWPCG's latest features. Some demo effects were ported to X so they can be used by xscreensaver. OPCODE and the UFOS effect now work when compiled with gcc >= 3.0 The weapon.MD2 model was changed so its frame names now matches those of the demon MD2 model.
Release Notes: The effects BARSCROLLER, 3D TUNNEL, 2D BLOB, and TUXTRAIL with a mozaiek end effect have been added. The TDEC lib was extended with extra functions for scaling a SDL surface. The WPCG lib was optimized. The use of OPCODE in the library was improved and is now significantly faster.
Release Notes: 3 new effects were added (a 3D PLASMACUBE effect with two coloured lights, a 2D Spiral Sine scroller effect, and finally a 2D Twin sine bufferfly scroller). Furthermore, a bug in the lighting system of WPCG was fixed, the WPCG namespace was added to it, warnings were removed, and defines changed into consts.
Release Notes: Pierre Terdiman's excellent OPCODE 3D Collision Detection Library is now part of TDEC and is used by the WPCG library for 3D frustum culling and collision detection. A demonstration called ufos was added to show these features. The WPCG library was improved and enchanced. Many bugs were fixed and a proper lighting system and collision detection support and handling was among others added to WPCG. The demon and terrain examples were therefore corrected. TDEC now compiles with gcc 3.2.
Release Notes: A new 3D vertex lit terrain demonstration has been added. There are many improvements to the 2D/3D WPCG library, including better 3D object management, a skybox class, and a 3D terrain generation class.
Release Notes: This release adds two new effects: Bump2D, a 2D bump mapping effect, and DEMON, a 3D key frame animated quake2 model effect. Many 3D C++ classes were added to the project, which makes it possible to create real 3D effects in C++. Some earlier effects were extended. New graphics were added, and the common library was extended and improved.
Release Notes: This release adds 3 new effects (Water(Rain), DoomMelt, and SpiralTwist) The util library was improved and extended with many new functions (scaling, flipping, etc.) The use of mikmod is now optional. There are many overall improvements.
