A midnight rollover bug that affected non-Palm platforms was fixed. A Set menu was added to the menu bar of the timer window. It contains a menu item for setting the prep time for both sides at once. Release Notes: The NFA Lincoln-Douglas debate format has been added. The window is now always on top of other windows. Spoken time signals during speeches are less verbose. The Start/Stop button is green for Start and red for Stop. Other GUI enhancements include a larger menu button and a "View Prep" button next to it for quick access to the running prep time display.

Release Notes: An illustrated user manual is included with this release in PDF format. The prep time for Lincoln-Douglas has been updated to 4 minutes. This is the new rule for the National Forensics League since mid-2007. It is now possible to display the prep times for both sides of a debate at any time. This new feature is accessed through the View drop down menu. Spoken time signals are turned on by default for policy debates only. For all other events, time signals are silent by default, except for prep times and the first and last minutes of constructive speeches in parliamentary debates.

Release Notes: This release adds a World Universities Debate Championships (a.k.a. Worlds) parliamentary debate format. The Extemporaneous event has been updated to reflect the new NFL rules. A menu button has been added to reveal the hidden menu bar. It was not immediately obvious to many users to click the title bar to open the menu bar. Also, it should be easier to tell which speech comes next, because it is shown in bold text in the navigation buttons. The pitch and volume of button beeps, time signal tones, and the timeout alarm have been modified in an effort to make them less unpleasant.

Release Notes: This release fixes a bug where prep time signals after the first prep session for a given side would use time signal settings for speeches along with visual cues instead of the settings for prep time.

      •  20 Sep 2006 06:04

Release Notes: A critical bug where the timer would be slowed down by up to 15 seconds per minute on Pocket PC devices was fixed. A minor bug was fixed where clicking on the other active buttons besides the Start button before the event name in the title bar timed out did not immediately dismiss the event name. Black backgrounds do not actually save battery power on LCDs, so the Low Power display setting has been changed to High Contrast which is a black foreground on a white background.

Release Notes: On Mac OS X, Timekeeper.jar is executable by double-clicking on it. The World Schools debate format was added. A help screen bug that caused the program to freeze on handhelds with tall displays was fixed. The name of the selected event is shown in the title bar for 3 seconds before reverting to the name of the current task.

Release Notes: The debate timer and IE timer have been integrated into one program. The debates and IEs are selected from separate lists in a tab panel. The program can now be launched by a shell script. It is now possible to enable audible time signals for Impromptu and Extemporaneous speeches in the time signal configuration dialog. For constructive speeches in Parliamentary debates, a tone is played at the beginning and end of the point of information period (at the end of the first minute and the beginning of the last minute of the speech). The program now includes Karl Popper debate format.

Release Notes: A college policy debate format with 9 minute constructives, 3 minute cross-x, 6 minute rebuttals, and 10 minutes of prep time was added. In the negative block of policy debate, there is now a button to go from the cross-x after the 2NC directly to 1NR without having to go through Neg prep. On non-PalmOS platforms, clicking on the stopwatch buttons and speech order buttons plays a short beep instead of the system error sound. Visual time signals for Debate Timekeeper can now be turned off in the time signal configuration dialog.
