dccserver

dccserver is a standalone program that aims to provide the functionality of MIRC's /dccserver command. Currently, Chat and Send (including resume) modes are supported. Fserve and Get mode are not yet supported.

    Release Notes: This release fixes a few portability problems and adds infrastructure for building with cmake.

    Release Notes: This version adds a "close" command to close particular connections, an "info" command to show the current transfer states for all connections, and proper timeout handling. It shows the time taken by transfers and the transfer rate. It can now listen on multiple ports. dccsend was fixed to work with mIRC. There is an X-Chat support script, and fixes for the build on Darwin.

    Release Notes: This package now includes dccsend, a program to send files to remotely running dccservers. Support was added for running dccserver as an embedded program in irssi. Paths from filenames sent from remote are now stripped. The case when two or more clients want to write to the same file is now handled more gracefully. Various bugfixes were made.

    Release Notes: The program is now installed setuid root by default, limiting itself to a chroot and dropping privileges as soon as possible. It now allows more than the negotiated number of bytes to be transferred, in case the sender's file has grown since the start of the DCC send. Files for the new Debian port were also included.
