Release Notes: This is the production release of dbXML 2.0. A Xerces CDATA parsing bug was fixed. A Xalan return value casting problem was fixed. A Web Services naming context problem was fixed. A Web Services NPE was fixed.


Release Notes: dbXML has now been built and tested with the Java 2 SDK version 1.4.2. The paging system has reverted to standard Java I/O. The bootstrap system has been replaced. UTF-8 is fully functional. The administrator tool is more functional. Command line commands have been enhanced. There are namespace and API fixes and enhancements.


Release Notes: This release includes proper support for UTF-8 in the transport layer. An XML namespace prefix mapping tab has been added to the Administrator preferences, so a user can define a set of reusable namespace prefix mappings without having to add them to their XML for every query. The Programmer's Guide now talks about creating indexes for elements and attributes that belong to a namespace.


Release Notes: Indexing on non-existing patterns now works, the Web browser interface now supports names with slashes, exceptions now include more useful information, indexer now complains about invalid type coercion, object creation now works properly, Windows file imports no longer leave file handles open, and the Administrator tool is more fleshed out.
