Danger from the Deep

Danger from the deep (aka dangerdeep) is a WW2 German submarine simulation. It should be portable to operating systems or platforms that use SDL/OpenGL. This game is planned as a tactical simulation, and will be as realistic as time and knowledge of physics allows.

    Release Notes: OpenGL 2.0 support. GLSL 1.1 shaders have replaced all the previous shaders. The captain's cabin screen and ship's log have been added. 4 new U-boat types have been added. Old models and ocean rendering have been improved. Multithreading and a new sound system have been added, as well as new sound effects. Water splash and blur in the periscope have been added. Sky and fog rendering are improved.

      Release Notes: Skin support, new models with skins, and a new main GUI were added. Preliminary hydroachoustics and sonar support was added, with different sonar equipment for different uboats and periods of war. Day and night sky rendering, ocean rendering, and foam and spray texture support were improved. A popup GUI navigation menu was added. selected target icons. New engine throttle modes were added. All torpedo data and simulation were improved. Smoke rendering, themes and widgets, data structure were improved.

        Release Notes: New SSE intrinsics, MSVC fixes, and GCC 4.0/4.1 fixes were made. A new TDC screen, per torpedo information, new models, a new GUI, background music, a new interface bar, a mission editor, improved file formats, compatibility with OpenGL 2.0, improved water rendering, reflections, new sky code, parallax angle computation, vessel previews, better perlin noise, a new range finder popup, more data per model, and much more were also added.
