IPA-CXS/X-Sampa Converter is a selection of modules for various programming languages (C, Perl, Lisp, and Python) for translating between IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) and ASCII versions, in particular CXS, which is a close relative to X-Sampa. The project homepage contains a demo for using the Perl script as an online converter.

Release Notes: This release adds HTML quotation for old Perl interpreters. It prepares a test for using pack("U",...) in modern Perl versions and the substitute pack_U(...) in old Perl versions. The Web interface to the tool was enhanced: affricate ligatures can now be selected and the Perl initialisation sequence for the selection can be displayed.
