Release Notes: A 'gnuplot' backend was added to extract data from gnuplot input files (but only data); several new filters were added to modify data on the fly. This release also features several bugfixes and minor improvements, such as better handling of log scale for mathematical functions, via the --math-log option, offsets for X and Y axes, and more.
Release Notes: The legend position is now much more like what it was for releases 1.5 and before. An option has been added for direct PNG output (depends on ImageMagick), as well as a way to create shortcuts for series of command line arguments and a way to simplify grid and column plots (with automatic insertion of --next arguments).
Release Notes: This release brings in fixes for very annoying bugs (--grid looks better, and --text-baseline works again), and some new features to gain better control over curves styles, along with their documentation.
