Release Notes: This version is based upon RedHat 7.3 i386. The kernel is patched with linux-2.4.37.5-e1000e.patch.bz2, based on the Intel driver v0.5.11.2 for Intel PRO/1000 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet and works with the Intel 82574L PCIe Gigabit card. linux-2.4.37.5-e1000e.patch.bz2 was adjusted to compile with gcc-2.95.3. In addition the 3w-9xxx.o driver, v2.4-9.5.1 was added, supporting the 3Ware 9690SA SAS/SATA PCIe controller. This version can be secured with a password and has support for DNS nameservers inside /etc/resolv.conf.

The kernel is patched with 2.6.11-libata-dev1.patch.bz2 for S.M.A.R.T. smartmontool support for use with SATA drives. The sk98lin driver is patched with sk98lin_v8.16.2.3_2.6.11.10_patch.bz2 from www.marvell.com.

Release Notes: This release is based upon the Mandrake 10.0 (Official) i586 Linux distribution. The RAM filesystem is 24 Mb and now needs at least 32 Mb RAM to boot. The Logical Volume Manager (LVM2) tools and the NTFS driver v2.1.14 and ntfsprogs-1.9.2-1 were added. CD/DVD burning support was added, using cdrtools-2.01a27-ossdvd and growisofs v5.17. Remote CIFS SMB Samba or Windows folders can be mounted for backup over the network. The boot method was changed to isolinux. The kernel 2.6.7 is configured to use the so-called Preemptible scheduler profile.
