Release Notes: This release adds the new program "numfmt" to reformat numbers. "df" now allows the user to define the list of columns to be included in the output, also enabling simultaneous output of block and inode fields. "du" can now limit output to certain sizes using "--threshold". Many minor bugfixes and further improvements have been made.
Release Notes: dd now accepts 'status=none' to suppress all informational output. The *sum programs now accept the "--tag" option to print BSD-style output with GNU file name escaping. stat and tail are now aware of ZFS, VZFS, and VMHGFS filesystems. factor's core was rewritten for speed and increased range. seq is now up to 70 times faster, and properly handles arbitrarily long non-negative whole numbers. A file corruption issue on file copies was fixed. dd now correctly detects directory cycles due to bind-mounted directories. Other improvements and bugfixes were made.
Release Notes: "df" now fails if file system type information is required to process an option but can't be obtained. "sort -u" no longer swallows lines in certain scenarios, and no longer accesses freed memory. "rm" now accepts the "--dir"/"-d" option to remove empty directories.
Release Notes: "split" and "truncate" now allow any seekable files in situations where the file size is needed, instead of insisting on regular files. "cp", "mv", "install", "cat", and "split" now read and write a minimum of 64KiB at a time, twice as much as before, to increase performance. A race condition in "cp" was fixed. The behavior of "id" and "groups" was made more consistent. "sort" now diagnoses certain errors much earlier. "split" no longer overwrites its input files. Various other bugs were fixed. "su" is no longer included in this package; it has completely moved to util-linux.
Release Notes: Many minor feature enhancements and bugfixes have been made.
