I am new to linux and have used only slackware a little.I am wondering if this "cool linux" can be installed completely to hard drive and then not require any CD to use.I did see install to HDD using first 64 mb option. However I am not sure what that means entirely.I hope I am making sense. Thanks in advance.

Screen resolution and refresh rate problem
Hi,

I just installed cool linux 2.3, but am having problems with the screen resolution and refresh rate autodetected.

It starts at 1024x768 (virtual) on 640x480 real, so I can't see all the screen content at once, and the refresh rate is at 60Hz.

I tried setting the screen at boot time on 640x480, but then the desktop gets crowded too fast... and the refresh rate stays at 60Hz.

Could you please help this Linux newbie fix this little but frustrating problem?

Install-Hdd Cool-Linux 2.3

Andy. He/she/you doesn't anger the script install-hdd to work, because the installation files are different from the files of the CD of Coll-Linux.
