Release Notes: This is an interim release that fixes some issues found in previous releases. It also includes one new feature,“Malware Statistics Gathering.” Malware Statistics Gathering is an optional feature that has been added to freshclam enabling ClamAV to send summary statistics to Sourcefire and the ClamAV Research Team. This feature will allow users to optionally submit statistics to us about what they detect in the field, which will then be used to determine what types of malware/viruses are the most detected in the field and in what geographic area.
Release Notes: This release fixes and re-enables the Petite unpacker, improves database loading, and solves some other minor issues.
Release Notes: The 0.9x series introduces many improvements in terms of detection rate and performance, like support for many new packers and decryptors, RAR3 and SIS archives, and a new phishing signature format that proves to be very effective. To cope with the increasing size of the database and with the high frequency of new CVD releases, freshclam now supports scripted updates. The new experimental code can be tested by using "./configure --enable-experimental" at compile time. Email decoding has been improved to reduce both the memory requirements and the time taken to process attachments.
Release Notes: Changes in this release include better handling of network problems in freshclam and other minor bugfixes.
Release Notes: libclamav now supports nested OLE2 files, Word 6 macro code, compress.exe (SZDD) compression (test/test1.msc), and a compression ratio feature (--max-ratio), ignores popular file types (media, graphics), and improved virus detection in e-mails. clamscan now allows regular expressions in --[in|ex]clude. clamav-milter now includes the virus name in the 550 rejection, supports user defined template for virus notifications, sorts quarantine messages by date, adds X-Virus-Scanned and X-Infected-Received-From: headers, and improved load balancing (when using remote servers with --server).
Release Notes: This release fixes a compile problem on FreeBSD, adds new features to clamscan, and contains a script for scanning mail from procmail.
Release Notes: This release adds resource usage limits, Mac OS X support, an HTTP/1.1-compliant freshclam, improved automake/autoconf support, and updated documentation.
