Cilk is a language for multithreaded parallel programming based on ANSI C. It contains the Cilk compiler, the Cilk runtime system, and example programs.

    Release Notes: PowerPC and Opteron support were improved. Numerous bugfixes and documentation fixes were made. Header file installation was fixed. High-performance timer support was added.

      Release Notes: Support for MacOS X was added. A memory leak in the runtime system was fixed. cilk2c now accepts C9X flexible arrays.

        Release Notes: Initial freshmeat announcement; automation of all stages of compilation and linking, improved GNU/Linux support, header file cilk-compat.h is no longer required and is not provided, fixes for many bugs in cilk2c, Cilk now always runs on top of POSIX threads, and the GNU linker is no longer required.
