Release Notes: Key fixes in MP3 file container support. The padding value is now recalculated correctly for each get/put buffer operation. id3_2 headers are now properly decoded to find the offset of the first audio fragment. Additional functionality in audiotool when examining MPEG audio files.
Release Notes: Very preliminary support for accessing MPEG-encoded audio data from within MPEG audio container files. Files with ID3.2 headers are broken, as offset to first MPEG audio fragments do not appear to match id3_2 reported header length. Overall changes for supporting packet-oriented reading/writing of audio data, such as for accessing MPEG audio data, and for future .ogg container audio support.
Release Notes: This release features a new GSM plugin codec to support gsm audio. New encoder to encoder stream conversion functions were added for automatically transcoding audio from one encoded form to another. with smart buffering optimizations and direct frame transfer when converting to same frame type. There is better support for audio file extensions and extension to encoder mapping, and the use of timestamp based file positioning. There is also complete class documentation.
Release Notes: New frame-based tone generation classes were added, including tone generation for dtmf and mf dialing, as well as for sequencing of telephony tones. Support for processing a localized tone definitions database and generation of localized tones by nation has been included. A new standalone "tonetool" utility was added to create and examine files containing telephony tones. Some important bugs were fixed, as well as support for updating internal audio data size when closing a modified .au file.
