Release Notes: Some types of NTFS disk drives are no longer refused for filesystem operations. Mounted partitions now have public reading file/directory permissions. The set of MS-Windows XP drivers identified as compatible with Captive has been extended, and this release also covers the MS-Windows XP kernels compatibility for Microsoft SMP/PA kernels.


Release Notes: This release simplifies the installation procedure with the availability of a single statically built binary package. This new packaging also brings seamless compatibility with TurboLinux and SuSE. The installer for downloading the Microsoft NTFS driver now works around Microsoft servers connection drops. The same installer also features workarounds for occasional crashes within itself. Simultaneous access to NTFS files by multiple applications is now possible. Filesystems are now mountable by regular users if such is permitted by root.
