camsrv

camsrv is intended primarily for the Philips family of Webcams. The server portion of the program can either serve as a stand-alone program to capture images to disk, or act as a streaming video server. In this mode, images are sent as a compressed stream to a Java client.

    Release Notes: This release fixes a bug which caused camsrv to stop capturing frames after running for long periods of time,and adds an option to change the JPEG image quality for standalone image capture.

      Release Notes: Support for fractional delays, an option to change default server port, and fixes for thread synchronisation bugs and a memory leak.

        Release Notes: The ability to stream and save images to disk at the same time, an 'offline' image option, the ability to rotate image at intervals of 90 degrees (for cams placed sideways), and a JPEG compression / quality option in Java client were added. Streaming to multiple clients was speeded-up. Miscellaneous bugfixes and improvements were added.

          Release Notes: Images are now refreshed correctly in browsers that use older versions of Java (namely, 4.x series browsers).
