Release Notes: Support for Axis network cameras was added. A bug where the pipe file descriptor was left open across shell exec was fixed. A client capture manager from where all capture processes are dispatched and monitored was created. A bug where the capture process did not go away when cammgr exited was fixed. Other miscellaneous cleanups were done.
Release Notes: This release provides support for camera capture applications that must run continuously. In addition, a new tool called "phpssnap" was written to provide BSD Unix support for all the popular webcams available through the Linux Philips USB Webcam driver project. A working solution for the USB device to camera name mapping problem was documented and several minor bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: This release introduces CamClient, a JavaCam-compatible image retrieval applet. With CamClient, the client can select from a collection of available images. CamClient also allows the user to select the refresh interval and freeze the current image. Unlike JavaCam, CamClient will work on Windows XP by thwarting client-side image caching. Webcams may now override other webcams, which is useful for supporting multi-sized images from the same camera. A couple minor bugs were also fixed in this release.
