Release Notes: The license was changed from the GPL to the BSD license. This release is compatible with Ganglia 3.x.
Release Notes: This release includes small workarounds for bugs in LinuxThreads to allow GEXEC to work with newer distributions of Linux, such as Red Hat 9.
Release Notes: Addition of a pointer arithmetic patch for portability to IA64.
Release Notes: Linking with Ganglia 2.3.0b6 in the binary RPM as opposed to Ganglia 2.3.0b5, which contained a well-known bug.
Release Notes: Important error messages for cases where a remote chdir or exec fails, use of gexec_hosts for node selection when using Ganglia, defaulting to GEXEC_GMOND_SVRS="localhost:8649" when node selection is unspecified (and Ganglia support is compiled in), and several bugfixes.
Release Notes: This version adds support for the "host:port" syntax when specifying GEXEC_GMOND_SVRS, suppresses Ganglia error messages, and sets GEXEC_SVRS based on the hosts returned from Ganglia. This last feature is useful when building parallel runtime environments (e.g., for MPI, PVM, etc.).
Release Notes: Node selection for GEXEC can be done using Ganglia. Selection is done by finding the first gmond server that is both up and returns a non-empty set of nodes. The list of servers is specified using an environment variable, GEXEC_GMOND_SVRS. Two minor memory leaks were also fixed. (These are only relevant when using GEXEC programmatically.)
