Burn-CD is a handy frontend for the well-known CD/DVD writing packages cdrtools and dvd+rw-tools. It is a plain console program, though it has nice colorful output. Intended for burning CD/DVD disks on any modern GNU/Linux OS.

    Release Notes: The --label option was added to set a VOLUME-ID. The --simulate option was added. A couple of known bugs were fixed.

      Release Notes: A progress bar bug was fixed.

        Release Notes: New config options: umount and interactive. New command line options: --umount and --interactive. Support for DVD video. Shows max read/write speeds for the DVD media in verbose mode. An issue with the 5.9 GB DL disks has been fixed. The source file has been converted to UTF-8 encoding. There are cdrkit and growisofs fixes. dvd+rw-mediainfo is required to get info about DVD media (cdrkit stopped showing this).

          Release Notes: DVD speed setting is working now. The detection of the blank DVD media was fixed. A minor typographical error was fixed in the help.
