BTG

BTG is a bittorrent daemon implemented in C++ and using the libtorrent library. It provides an ncurses UI, a gtkmm GUI, and a Web interface, which communicate with a common backend running the actual bittorrent operation.

    Release Notes: This release adds a Hungarian translation of the Web UI and a few small features to btgncli and fixes a crash experienced when loading IPv4 filters. Some refactoring was also done to avoid using boost iostreams and to use a GPL resource allocator.

    Release Notes: This release attempts to optimize the way the WWW UI works, adds Rasterbar Libtorrent UPnP support, and adds support for Rasterbar Libtorrent 0.14.1. It also adds some minor features and fixes minor bugs.

    Release Notes: URL downloading support was added. Torrent file uploading was improved. The bugfixes requested by Gentoo developers were made, so it should be easier to create packages for Gentoo. btgcli was stripped of ncurses, so it should be easier to use btgcli from scripts. btgui can now show detailed peer information.

    Release Notes: This release contains a large number of bugfixes and some new features which were requested by users. Version 0.9.7 is the first BTG release which has been built for and been tested on OpenWrt. The selecting files and DHT support will only work if Rasterbar libtorrent 0.13rc1 or later is used. Libtorrent 0.12 does not contain the required functionality.

    Release Notes: This release is mainly wwwui updates requested by users and bugfixes. Notice that libtorrent 0.12 and libtorrent SVN are the only versions supported. The session saving format changed once again, but there is support for the old format.

    rtorrent is just a single (somewhat crappy) client and a library. I looked at the code once and decided against using it. Rasterbar libtorrent is used by a number of clients on different platforms, not just one.
