Release Notes: This release marks the introduction of a new CMake-based build system. Improvements continue on geometry conversion and tessellation to polygonal formats. Progress was made merging MGED and Archer for an upcoming combined alpha with numerous command improvements, bug fixes, and interface enhancements. Experimental enhancements to BRL-CAD's rending system are also under development in support of programmable shaders.
Release Notes: More than 50 bugfixes, minor enhancements, and other user-visible changes were made. Ray tracing support for NURBS/BREP multiple-representation geometry continues to improve with ray tracing fixes, robustness improvements, and trimming enhancements. Numerous MGED bugs were fixed, including the Mac input bug, restoration of previous behavior, and continued Archer feature integration. MGED's wireframe display gets a substantial 5x-10x performance improvement and improved 64-bit compilation support for Windows.
Release Notes: This release fixes a variety of bugs, including a trimming bug with the automatic creation of tires and a crash during ray tracing of pipe solids. A variety of improvements were made to Archer, including interactive editing support for more primitives and a major GUI overhaul. MGED now sports a new "clear" command, along with changes to "dbconcat" and "mirror". Finally, BRL-CAD now has support for representing and visualizing point cloud data.
