Release Notes: Included are updates to MGED's gqa, garbage_collect, view, and bot_dump commands. The benchmark suite provides extensive system information in the summary report. The STEP geometry importer continues to be enhanced. Translation of the BRL-CAD documentation (the tutorial series) to Spanish is underway with several lessons now completed. This release update provides a number of other minor enhancements and bug fixes to BRL-CAD tools as well.
Release Notes: This minor release update includes additional enhancements to the BRL-CAD STEP geometry importer and ray tracing support for boundary representation NURBS geometry. The Archer prototype modeling interface gets a new GUI for displaying and editing groups of attributes. MGED receives support for toggling display managers at runtime (including support to switch over to a new ray trace shaded display manager). Additional bug fixes and feature enhancements abound.
Release Notes: This release fixes a variety of bugs, including a trimming bug with the automatic creation of tires and a crash during ray tracing of pipe solids. A variety of improvements were made to Archer, including interactive editing support for more primitives and a major GUI overhaul. MGED now sports a new "clear" command, along with changes to "dbconcat" and "mirror". Finally, BRL-CAD now has support for representing and visualizing point cloud data.
