Release Notes: This is a release candidate for 1.0.0. TDB support was dropped. Unicode (UTF-8 only) support was added. Berkeley DB transactional store no longer needs lock table sizing. The SQLite3 driver is faster now and checks the database library version to avoid accidents. Some SunOS, IRIX OS, and MIPS architecture portability fixes were made. Several important fixes to character set, HTML, binary attachment, and MIME processing were made. The shell scripts should now work on any POSIX sh, not just bash. The "undeclared charset" default is now ISO-8859-1.
Release Notes: A bug that let bogofilter crash inside its RFC-2047 (MIME header) decoder has been fixed. A subtle buffer handling bug that could lose output data on some operating systems has been fixed. The exit code on write errors in passthrough mode has been corrected to match the documentation. OS/2 compatibility fixes were made. An abort in bogotune -D has been fixed. Several documentation and option handling improvements have been made.
No changes have been submitted for this release.
Release Notes: This release supports mailboxes in ANT format and MH maildirs, can use QDBM as a database backend, and will use GSL (the GNU Scientific Library) if it is available. A port to RISC-OS has been added, and many bugfixes and updates have been made.
Release Notes: The "current" branch version has been promoted to the "stable" branch. It fixes an unterminated loop that caused a hang with 100% CPU load on specific email messages.
Release Notes: A bogofilter "hang" has been fixed. The old tuning scripts have been replaced by bogotune. Code rewrites have improved processing speed. Manual pages and HTML documentation now properly format non-breaking space. The BerkeleyDB cache size can be set from the commandline with the new "-k" switch.
Release Notes: bogoutil's broken maintenance mode and locking issues on machines that don't want mmap() and fcntl() locking mixed have been fixed. The documentation and FAQ have been updated. A division-by-zero which triggered SIGFPE aborts on some machines has been fixed. The ./configure script now prints clearer messages when libdb*.so is not in the library search path (fixing the unspecific "can't get size of unsigned short" issue).
Release Notes: Reading the user's configuration files was fixed. The "-u" option was fixed to actually do something. Missing documentation and "-h" help output were added for bogolexer and bogoutil.
Release Notes: Bogofilter no longer complains when the mail body has a line that starts with "From." The contrib/bogopass script now prints the original mail with the added X-Bogosity: header rather than the base64-decoded email, and it has better error checking/reporting. The Robinson-Fisher method can generate an "unsure" status. The documentation was revised and updated.
Release Notes: Bogofilter no longer requires Judy. Bogofilter -p now preserves NUL and CR characters. There is a new "Robinson" algorithm to calculate the "bogosity". A lot new switches and integration improvements were added. Syslog support was added. The options -h/-H were renamed back to -n/-N. SIGBUS crashes were fixed. The token analyzer was improved, with better support for European languages or base64 encoding. There is now a "bogoupgrade" tool to help upgrading from older versions. Data base locking now prevents word list corruption. The documentation has improved.
