Release Notes: Reading the user's configuration files was fixed. The "-u" option was fixed to actually do something. Missing documentation and "-h" help output were added for bogolexer and bogoutil.
Release Notes: Bogofilter has switched its default algorithm to Robinson-Fisher, changed the -S and -N options to mean "unregister" (now the exact opposite of -s and -n), and received improvements to HTML comment discarding. The -l option was split into -l and -L tag for portability. There have been efficiency changes in database access and memory use in passthrough mode when the input is a regular file. The manual pages now contain the proper path to bogofilter.cf.
Release Notes: The bogofilter and bogoutil man pages were updated. Command line options now take precedence over config file options. Changes were made to improve database access efficiency. The database is now properly closed at the end of a maintenance pass. Improvements were made in the HTML comment handling code. The '-?' option is now supported.
Release Notes: This release has fixes for long-standing locking bugs that caused database corruption, and compatibility fixes for AIX, bash-1/ash-0.2, and gcc-2.7. It will now decode MIME parts (base64, quoted-printable, and x-uuencode), ignores attachments such as images or programs, allows for customized headers to output, can log to syslog, and is case insensitive. It datestamps tokens in the database and has database maintainance functions. There are assorted minor features and fixes.
Release Notes: Locking now uses random sleep intervals in case of lock conflicts. Special characters have been removed from regression test data to improve portability. Unknown content types are no longer decoded, thus improving robustness.
Release Notes: This release adds several fixes and minor improvements.
Release Notes: Bogofilter no longer complains when the mail body has a line that starts with "From." The contrib/bogopass script now prints the original mail with the added X-Bogosity: header rather than the base64-decoded email, and it has better error checking/reporting. The Robinson-Fisher method can generate an "unsure" status. The documentation was revised and updated.
Release Notes: Support for Fisher's method of combining probabilities was added, use '-f' to choose it. Reading the configuration file can be controlled with the '-c file' and '-C' switches. Registering big mbox files was sped up. More tests were added, checking against reference results to make sure everything works correctly. Many bugs were fixed, among them portability fixes. Internal changes were also made.
Release Notes: The pass through mode was fixed for transparency and proper header/body delimiter detection. Portability, build, and minor other fixes were made. Configuration files are now supported. The Robinson algorithm is implemented. There is a new bogolexer program. bogoutil and bogofilter have new command line options. BerkeleyDB 4.1 is now supported. The documentation was updated.
Release Notes: Bogofilter no longer requires Judy. Bogofilter -p now preserves NUL and CR characters. There is a new "Robinson" algorithm to calculate the "bogosity". A lot new switches and integration improvements were added. Syslog support was added. The options -h/-H were renamed back to -n/-N. SIGBUS crashes were fixed. The token analyzer was improved, with better support for European languages or base64 encoding. There is now a "bogoupgrade" tool to help upgrading from older versions. Data base locking now prevents word list corruption. The documentation has improved.
