Version 2.2.0 of Bluefish

Release Notes: This release works with GTK 3 (GTK 2 is still supported), and the syntax scanner had a major overhaul to make it faster. There is a new search and replace function, which also supports search and replace in files on disk. Other new features include a context-aware toggle comment function and a select block feature, the auto-completion of user-defined functions, and a jump function that will bring you immediately the the definition of a function. Many existing features have been improved and polished and support for new languages has been added, such as Google Go, Vala, and Ada.

Other releases

Release Notes: This is a bugfix release, but is also has new features. The syntax scanning engine and the filebrowser are much faster, with less memory usage. Projects now store the active document and active line numbers. Indenting is improved in auto-completion and smart indenting. Bookmarks and the paste special have been improved. OS X supports Mavericks, Retina display, opening from the finder, etc. Almost all syntax highlighting has been improved. There are also bugfixes, including ones for wrapped text, the replace engine, the split lines feature, auto-recovery, etc.

Release Notes: This release has fixes for tab width, the blocksync feature, scrollwheel zoom, language syntax detection and character encoding detection, toggle comment, split view, and more. Performance has been improved, most notably the speed of the auto-completion popup. New features include simpler search options, paste special (to paste images from LibreOffice, for example), control-tab to switch to the most recent document, save as copy, and pylint, cssmin, jsmin, csstidy, and php_beautifier integration.

Release Notes: This release has mostly many minor bugfixes and many minor enhancements. There are only few major changes: a corrupted state in the syntax scanner that could lead to a segfault was fixed, code folding had major fixes and improvements, search had major fixes, and a Lorem Ipsum generator was added. The GUI was restructured in some areas, some shortcut key combinations were added, and some visibility features were added and improved. On the Web front, some dialogs were added for HTML5. Many language files were improved with user configurable options.

Release Notes: This is a bugfix release. A regression in the search functionality causing a segfault, multiple replaces close to each other, and the broken cursor positioning in the Zencoding plugin were also fixed. On Windows, handling of the profile directory with non-ASCII characters was fixed and on Mac OS X, image browsing in the image dialog was fixed. Two GTK3-related bugs were fixed. Some small improvements were made such as slightly faster startup and no more annoying scrolling of the file browser. New features: duplicate line, delete line, and a Catalan translation.

Release Notes: This is mostly a bugfix release, but it has one major new feature: Zencoding support. The bugfixes include a fix to build on Gtk+-2.22, updates for many translations, a fix for PCRE regular expression searching, several layout fixes for Gtk+-3.2, several obscure segfault fixes, a fix for autocompletion of variables in PHP, <img> dialog fixes, and some memory-leak fixes.
