Release Notes: This version has a number of new features including GSS-TSIG support (RFC 3645), DHCID support, experimental HTTP server and statistics support for named via XML, more detailed statistics counters that are compatible with the ones supported in BIND 8, faster ACL processing, use of Doxygen to generate internal documentation, an efficient LRU cache cleaning mechanism, and NSID support (RFC 5001).

Release Notes: This fixes the security problem identified as CVE-2007-2925. The problem is that the default access control lists (ACLs) are not being correctly set. If not set, anyone can make recursive queries and/or query the cache contents.

Release Notes: DNSSEC improvements were made. IPv4/IPv6 transition support was added, with dual-stack-servers. IXFR deltas can now be generated when loading master files. check-names is now implemented. rrset-order is more complete. It is now possible to specify the size of a journal. It is now possible to define a named set of master servers to be used in masters clause. The advertised EDNS UDP size can now be set. allow-v6-synthesis has been obsoleted. Zones containing MD and MF will now be rejected. dig and nslookup now report "Not Implemented" as NOTIMP rather than NOTIMPL.

Release Notes: This version features bugfixes for an issue where dns_cache_create() could trigger a REQUIRE failure in isc_mem_put() during error cleanup, and a race condition in rbtdb. There are less stringent checks in dns_db_findnode(). This release also fixes a problem where dns_nxt_buildrdata(), and hence dns_nxt_build(), contained a off-by-one error, and where isc_hash_destroy() was being called too early.
