Beobachter

Beobachter is a file monitor, usually used to watch log files. It has a Java Swing interface that allows the user to customize the highlighting of the logs depending on the log type. It is a very simple, multi-platform, fast, and practical tool.

Release Notes: Minor refactoring and bugfixes. A nice installer for the Windows platform. New translations: ja_JA and nl_NL.

Release Notes: The color chooser now has a special preview panel. Select all/Copy now appears disabled when no internal frame is present. New Find/ Find next options were added to the Edit menu. The preferences dialog allow you to change the default LAF of the application. The language option in the preferences dialog now shows a better description of each language (e.g. "es_ES" has been replaced with "Spanish (Spain)"). All dialogs have better behaviour when resizing. There are new translations. The new ANT file allows developers to compile the application without an IDE. There are minor bugfixes.

Release Notes: Now all the dialogs close when the ESCAPE key is pressed. There is better administration of log types. Updating a logtype configuration is allowed. Almost all the dialogs now have a default button. A new feature that checks if a new version is available was added. The application now remembers the position and size of its last execution. New translations: pl_DE, in_IN, and ca_FR. Minor bugfixes.
