Release Notes: The tray icon behavior was made GNOME HIG compliant. Crashes with the GStreamer error handler and resizing columns in the playlist were fixed. Equalizer use is now optional even when the GStreamer equalizer element is installed. A few patches from pkgsrc are now included in upstream.
Release Notes: Last.fm support was improved (more functionality). Shoutcast support was improved. Support for NetworkManager, global hotkeys (X11-based, custom, or GNOME-based), and support for generic video playback (file playback, no DVD support, or similar) was added in addition to video podcasts. Bugfixes all around have been made, and responsiveness was improved by using asynchronous networking where possible.
Release Notes: This is a corrective release to the 0.40.0 release. A bug in which the library would not update changed files on a rescan was fixed. MB metadata reading was made fully compliant with the latest specifications. The dependency on libmp4v2 was dropped due to problems, and appropriate code was put in place instead. The preferences dialog was made GNOME HIG compliant.
Release Notes: A rewrite of the library backend, reorganization of the UI, improved Last.fm backend and tighter integration of Last.fm within the entire application, enhanced and debugged Podcast backend with newly added support for video podcasts using Gstreamer, initial Jamendo support, and a universal bookmarking system. The stability of the 0.40 series is incomparably higher than the 0.36 versions. The application's usability was also improved to a great degree.
Release Notes: Most changes in this release are fixes of severe bugs all over, and UI/usability improvements. Other changes include multiple downloads for podcast episodes, a "Playlist" component for playing files not in the library, and a universal bookmarking system (working across all playback sources). The Last.fm streaming protocol and Audioscrobbler Protocol 1.2 support was finalized and conforms fully to the specs. As another long-standing user issue, the space-wasting header banner was removed.
Release Notes: Last.fm streaming was ported to the new streaming protocol; the Last.fm XML-RPC backend was ported to the current Last.fm XML-RPC API. Various fixes in the Podcast backend, the general playback backend (GStreamer engine), and the library backend/database were made. Preliminary support for Jamendo was added. The MusicBrainz backend was mostly rewritten, now more sensibly parsing and applying MusicBrainz metadata to tracks. A lot of various fixes all over the code have been done.
Release Notes: Stability issues in the library backend were addressed: accessing the library from threads other than the thread opening the database initially was fixed, as were other SQL-related issues. The podcast backend was greatly overhauled and is reliable now. Support for video podcasts was also added. UI consistency issues (accelerator key combinations as well as menu naming consistencies) were addressed. Startup performance was improved. HAL support in the playlist was reinstated (for notifications about unavailable files).

Podcast support has been improved. The library interface has been greatly improved; speed issues have been addressed. This a development pre-release, and is not meant for general use.
Release Notes: This release fixes issue regarding the treatment of filenames and metadata of music files on systems that don't run on an UTF-8 locale/LANG, and whose filenames are not UTF-8-encoded. Furthermore, the song lyrics backend was changed from Lyrictracker (which seems to be defunct) to LyricWiki. The Romanian, Finnish, and Chinese (Simplified) translations were updated.
Release Notes: This release is focused on stability improvements. Problem situations in which the user has a library file incompatible with the currently running BMPx instance have been resolved. Problems of coherence of the view and the library database after metadata editing (esp. wrt album splitting) have been resolved. Other numerous major and minor bugfixes were made. The translations were updated.
