Release Notes: Many new features went into this release, as well as many bugfixes. Several new loadable instruments and effects are supplied now, the code was optimized for MMX/SSE, and there are translation updates to Canadian English, German, Spanish, Czech, Italian, Catalan, Dutch, Swedish, and Nepali.

Release Notes: The most important change in this release is probably the reduced CPU consumption due to lowered scope updating priority. Very convenient are the newly added -n<nicelevel> and -N (don't renice) options. A nice bonus in this release are the FFT-based spectrographs for module output channels. The experimental PortAudio driver is new. As usual, there have been many language translation updates, in particular Canadian English, British English, Czech, Dutch, and Spanish.

Release Notes: This release now supports i18n for enum values, per-part scripts, and more note formats like Cis-1, C#-1, #C-1. It adds a suid wrapper for lower latency and a new harmonic transposition script to convert between various scales. It improves latency/block-size handling of the synthesis engine. It fixes an i18n bug which prevents the demo song from loading in non-C locales. It cleans up the SFI and restructures the sfidl code. The core language binding is now C++. It adds an experimetal pattern editor prototype, keybinding editor to preferences dialog, and ComboBox widgets. There are lots of FreeBSD, GUI fixes, and translation updates.

Release Notes: This release moves the RC file from ~/.beastrc to ~/.beast/ beastrc. It adds a sniffer module and per-track scope display, skin-support to event and piano roll widgets, support for structures/boxed types in plugins. It implementes a-law/u-law decoders and an AIFF file loader. sfidl was documented. A problem where the sequencer occasionally swallowed notes was fixed. Configurability was improved. New translations were added and existing ones updated. There were major improvements and speedups to the GUI and scrolling code. There were minor and major performance improvements, bugfixes, and cleanups.

Release Notes: The new modules BseEvaluator and DavBassFilter were added. Support was added for author and licensing information for plugins. MIDI file import capability was started. A new undo-able parasite mechanism is used for BSE files and C++ bindings. The default value serialization in BSE files and IDL Compiler bugs were fixed. The GUI and menu codes were overhauled. Lots of accessibility and i18n fixes and updates were made.

Release Notes: New synth modules were added (DavCanyonDelay, BseMidiInput, BseBalance, and ArtsCompressor). A new demo song, Party Monster, was also added. The ability to use the sequencer as a modulation source was implemented, as was support for external MIDI events in song tracks, a .bse playback facility, and support for C++ Plugins. There were major GUI improvements. I18n infrastructure and new translations (az, cz, de, nl, ru, sr, sv) were added along with lots of other improvements and bugfixes.

Release Notes: Unlimited Undo/Redo facilities were implemented. Tracks now support wave files directly as Synth input. A wave/synth selection dialog for tracks was added. Major improvements were made to the file/wave selection dialogs. The ability to monitor PCM output to WAVE files was added. Sample rate adjustments in preferences were reenabled. Signal handling in scheme was fixed. Time zone handling was fixed. Guile was upgraded to version 1.6. The code was adapted to gcc-3.3/g++-3.3. The documentation was improved. The LADSPA loader is more robust. Bug fixes were made for 64-bit architectures.

Release Notes: Support for LADSPA plugins was added. Synthesis network router display was improved. Support for dsp[0-3] and midi[0-3] devices was added. Memory leaks during playback were fixed. Many fixes in the documentation area were done.

Release Notes: This new development series of BEAST comes with a lot of the internals redone, many new GUI features, and a sound generation backend separated from any GUI activities. The most outstanding new feature is the track editor which allows free arrangement of parts in songs and adds loop support to simplify song edits.

Release Notes: Much has changed in this version. In brief, the GUI was extensively polished, many new synthesis features were added, and support for various external wave file formats was implemented.
