Release Notes: A family of measurement windows were added that automatically display a wide variety of signal parameters such as delta Hz, SNR, THD, SINAD, SFDR, and sample clipping. A dither feature was added that reduces quantization noise when doing 16 bit sample conversions. Major CPU optimizations resulted in about a 30 - 40% speed up. There are several Tone Generator quality improvements.
Release Notes: A moving average Histogram decay feature was added that allows the real-time visualization of dynamic sample probability distributions. A digital down mixer feature was included that can tune a chunk of frequency bandwidth to baseband. Several minor improvements were made, such as more complete mouse wheel support, higher quality decimation filters, and proper quadrature frequency axis ruler layouts.
Release Notes: This is a general maintenance release with emphasis on file loading and quadrature enhancements. A parsing bug was fixed and baudline now works with the Linux 2.6 kernels. Font size problems were addressed that caused bad widget alignments on some distributions. An audio driver issue with mono only input devices was fixed. Support for RIFF WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE files was added and two bugs dealing with Ogg Vorbis files were fixed. The implementation of the complex Fourier transform was revamped so that both positive and negative frequencies are now visible.
Release Notes: A piano keys window was added which functions as a chromatic scale controller for the tone generator and play deck. Sample data can now be streamed to stdout which will allow the building of sophisticated command line systems. Five other minor commandline features were also added. Some performance enhancements were done and a large number of bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: This release has many minor cosmetic improvements. Each window now has its own unique icon. A missing title bar window manager compatibility problem was fixed that affected WindowMaker, BlackBox, and Icewm. The play deck control buttons are now anti-aliased. A bug with a sticky auto clear button in the Average window was also fixed.
Release Notes: The default backing store behavior has been changed to favor image integrity over scrolling speed. Some issues caused by the KDE3 kwin window manager and the XFree86 4.2.x X11 server were fixed. Minor speed optimizations were performed on the code. A new -overlays command line option was added and a large number of bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: Automatic Doppler correction searches "chirp space" for weak drifting signals. This release performs anti-alias filtering on the decimated spectrogram time axis. The play deck's audio device mapping is now more configurable. The new progress bar window can now monitor and halt calculation status. A couple of other features were added and a large number of bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: The mixer to audio device mapping logic has been improved, some mixer input channel controls have been added, and a new -brokentrigger command line option was added for use with the SB Live! OSS/Free driver. For a slight performance boost the kernel ioctl chatter has been reduced, and many bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: A transform cache feature was added that speeds up specific repeated calculations at the expense of increased memory usage. A numerical parasite problem in the drift integrator was fixed. Ogg Vorbis and flac helper file decoding are up and running again, and other miscellaneous bugs have also been fixed.
Release Notes: The ability to extract audio from .avi and .mov files has been added in this release. The devFS /dev/sound directory is now supported. Minor bugs having to do with session management, USB hot-plugging, 24-bit audio files, Sawfish, and the Hilbert filter have been fixed.
