Basic Analysis and Security Engine

BASE is the Basic Analysis and Security Engine. It is based on the code from the Analysis Console for Intrusion Databases (ACID) project. This application provides a Web frontend to query and analyze the alerts coming from a Snort IDS.

      Release Notes: Many performance enhancements were made. Oracle support was added. The Czech and Simplified Chinese languages are now supported.

        Release Notes: This version includes a major performance improvement for MySQL databases. It also fixes a number of bugs that users of PostgreSQL have reported, including support for PostgreSQL 8.0. Several issues with PHP 5 and navigation through the system have been fixed, as well as a long standing bug with the host caching system. A few new features have been included in this release, most notably DShield IP lookups and summary statistics throughout the system.

          Release Notes: This release is a bugfix update. It fixes various issues with PostgreSQL and MS-SQL. It also adds various languages to the default package.

            Release Notes: This release includes many bugfixes. It includes the Flow-Portscan preprocessor patch. It has support for multiple languages, with 11 languages included in the package. It has a fully functional user authentication and role-basing system.
