    Release Notes: This release adds file transfers between users, email sending via the chat server, the ability for the applet client to operate fully as a signed applet (all features enabled, such as sending and saving files and images), the ability for the drawing canvas to be saved as JPEG, GIF, and PNG files (as well as bitmap), more reliable disconnection detection (both client and server), scrollbars if the drawing canvas is larger than the visible area, and reorganized source code, with ANT building and JavaDoc documentation.

      Release Notes: In this release, the Applet client can embed in Web pages, there is internationalization support (Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, and Turkish translations included), there were some connectivity bugfixes (with automatic silent reconnect), the application client can save the canvas as a bitmap image, users can click and drag to resize the drawing canvas vs. the chat text, there is a better instant-messaging interface, and the client window is easier to use.

        Release Notes: This release has connectivity bugfixes. The applet client can be embedded in Web pages. Spanish, German, Dutch, and French translations are included. Automatic reconnect has been added. The application client can save the canvas as a bitmap image. You can click and drag to resize the drawing canvas vs. the chat text. The client window is easier to use.

          Release Notes: Bugs related to the automatic creation of new user accounts have been fixed. The server now creates an empty password file at startup if it doesn't already exist, and the server now ensures that the JVM is 1.3 or later before attempting to register a shutdown hook.

            Release Notes: After a lengthy beta period, version 2.0 is here. These features have been added since 1.4: Chat rooms (public and private; private rooms can be password-protected or invite-only), the ability for the chat room owner to ban/boot users, instant messaging, user accounts/authentication (optional), an "ignore user" feature, pasting of image files to the canvas, a server administrator client, chat room logging, automatic "catch up" of whiteboard drawings for new joiners, and a complete resdesign of the communications protocol.

              Release Notes: This should be the final BETA release for 2.0. BETA4 is finally feature-complete. This version includes the much-requested feature of (optional) user accounts/authentication. Private chat rooms can now be protected by passwords (rather than invite-only). A number of configurability improvements have been added since BETA3.

                  Release Notes: A complete redesign of the communications protocol which drives Babylon Chat; new capabilities include "chat rooms", instant-messaging, administrator clients, and automatic whiteboard "catch up" for new joiners. There are also fixes a number of small issues, and an "ignore user" feature.

                    Release Notes: This release features a complete redesign of the communications protocol which drives Babylon Chat. The new protocol is more robust, and will result in much lower bandwidth usage, and thus smoother drawing. Version 2.0 also features a "chat rooms" capability, which vastly improves the versatility of any server. Additionally, late joiners of conferences are now automatically "caught up" with whatever has been drawn on the whiteboard.

                      Release Notes: This release features great improvements to the whiteboard drawing interface. There are now "tracer" lines to help users draw more accurately, and a "line thickness" selection for more versatile illustration. In addition, there are some important bugfixes from version 1.3. The communications protocol of version 1.4 is 100% compatible with previous versions.
