awesome-status

awesome-status populates the awesome window manager's widgets. It features CPU usage, date/time, lm_sensors (CPU temperature, fan RPMs, etc.), memory/swap information, mpd information, network download/upload, sound card information (volume and outgoing level), and uptime information. An example commented configuration file is included.

    Release Notes: newsbeuter and liferea support were added and some small bugs were fixed.

      Release Notes: This release fixes a small build problem with asound. If version 1.3 compiled successfully and works well, you don't need to update.

        Release Notes: A simple (postfix) calculator was added. An automatically generated skeleton-config was added. It's possible to run an external program and read its stdout and use it.

          Release Notes: Users can create their own message format so that awesome-status can send awesome2- and awesome3-compatible messages. The program checks the syntax of the config file and doesn't segfault when it is incorrect.

            Release Notes: Small bugs were fixed. New features include an mbox, CPU nice, and system monitors. Volume information is acquired by using alsa-lib, so you don't need /proc/asound-files, the content of which is hardware-specific. Code cleanup was done. Changes were made to the configuration file format.
