Release Notes: Nearly every aspect of simulation was improved. More instrumentation capabilities, more hardware support, and better performance were added. The ATMega16 and ATMega32 mcus as well as a disassembler and support for in-system reprogramming were added.
Release Notes: This version added support for using Avrora as a gdb backend, energy monitoring and profiling, a free space radio model and network topology code, greatly improved simulator output and timing (especially for multiple node simulations), and fixes for several bugs related to timing, ports, pullups, complex probings, and event handling. Slight performance improvements were achieved, and the tools are now as much as 10% faster.
