AvantSlash

AvantSlash allows you to read Slashdot on a Windows Mobile, iPhone, Blackberry, Smartphone, or Palm based device (either online using a Web browser or offline using an application such as AvantGo), or from an older WAP enabled mobile phone. It provides you with a cleaner version of the content, and can even clean up the linked articles for easier reading on your device.

Makes /. over GPRS painless
I've used AvantSlash for a couple months now from my Treo 650 and it makes surfing /. fun again. Even with a /. login and your preferences set to "light," you won't get nearly the performance or readability that you do using this .cgi.

Below are the lengths of wgets on the /. home page (index.html) standard, same page with prefs set at "light" (index.pl.html), and via avantify.

Thank you Mr. Lawrence.
