Autotabla

Autotabla is a CGI interface to a collection of SQL tables. Only a simple XML description of the database schema (table names, fields, etc.) must be provided, and all table maintenance can then be done from a Web page.

    Release Notes: A script for automatic trigger generation for serial number fields in Oracle databases was added. Several bugs which made the program not work with Perl versions lower than 5.6 (5.003) were fixed.

      Release Notes: Functionality was added so that a text field could be edited in a HTML one-line field or a HTML textarea field, on choice. A new framework was put in place for improved HTML generation.

        Release Notes: Support for automatic serial number generation in fields marked as such (as those of type "auto_increment" in MySQL) has been added, and a general mechanism has been provided to get it working with other databases.

          Release Notes: It was not written anywhere in the docs, but primary key fields coud not be modified directly from the Web interface. Now they can. Minor bugs were fixed regarding this new functionality.

            Release Notes: A general source code reorganization, grouping functions and variables together in files and classified by their purpose. No new functionality has been added.
