Release Notes: The Win32 GUI was synchronized with the Gtk GUI. The usability of the Gtk GUI was improved by reducing its size on screen. The autopano-complete.sh script was fixed for BSD systems. The problem with "BUG: less than three neighbours!" was fixed.

  •  15 Jan 2005 23:06

Release Notes: Best quality refinement of control point matches was added. The found matches are now refined by using a small part of the original images at high resolution. This leads to even more exact coordinate matches.

  •  16 Nov 2004 11:34

Release Notes: In both the Windows and Gtk# GUIs, bugs have been fixed. A bug in the underlying SIFT descriptor construction has been fixed, leading to a 10 percent improvement in the number of correct matches. The GUIs now take command line parameters to better integrate into future versions of hugin.

  •  19 Oct 2004 11:45

Release Notes: A native Windows GUI has been added, and the Unix GTK# GUI has been improved. The program is now eight times faster than before. A lot of bugs have been fixed. The license has been changed to the GPL.

  •  23 Sep 2004 11:57

Release Notes: The pixel coordinates use subpixel precision now. The Gtk# dependency can be optionally dropped for all core utilities, allowing painless use on Mac OS and Windows. The wrapper scripts are more easily installable. The Windows installer has been updated. The GTK GUI includes all options reachable from the CLI.

  •  14 Sep 2004 04:15

Release Notes: An "area-maximization" filtering step has been introduced, which reduces the number of keypoints while trying to keep the covered area as large as possible. This improves the overall panorama output. A bug in the horizon generation has been fixed. A bug in the helper scripts has been fixed. The text output is more readable now. A rare crash exception has been fixed. The automatic-align option is no longer experimental but considered stable.

  •  05 Aug 2004 23:50

Release Notes: Two severe mathematical bugs have been fixed, leading to improved recognition results. The documentation has been updated. An experimental automatic pre-align option has been added, which aligns the pictures to ease further automatic optimization. An experimental horizon generation option has been added.

  •  03 Jul 2004 13:47

Release Notes: A Windows version and installer for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 was created. Compilation with the newest Mono beta 1.0 and GTK# 1.0 was fixed. The default autopano-complete.sh wrapper script has been replaced by a version by Pablo d'Angelo. A new option ("--maxmatches count") that has been suggested by Ian Sydenham has been added to the autopano utility. Documentation has been updated to reflect all changes.

  •  16 May 2004 07:51

Release Notes: This release improves keypoint matches by geometric filtration, using RANSAC and an image coordinate transformation model. This allows you to represent the transformations necessary to planar rotations, scalings, and translations between two images. The input images can be variably downscaled before processing. Manual pages for all CLI programs and the GUI have been added. There are small bugfixes.

  •  04 May 2004 10:42

Release Notes: A GTK GUI has been added to streamline the normal workflow for non-CLI users. A "showone.exe" utility that displays the keypoints overlaid onto one individual image has been added. Proper usage texts have been added to all utilities. This release uses the libsift.dll library instead of in-compilation, which includes a large number of fixes and improvements. The "autopano-complete.sh" script has been fixed.
