auCDtect is a tool for analyzing the spectral characteristics of audio files and determining if they have been compressed with using codecs. It is useful for checking if a compact disc has been recorded using MP3 files or from an original source. Tests shows that it is more than 95% accurate.

    Release Notes: This version added support for disk conclusion mode over the set of tracks (-d key). The error level while processing strongly hardware-compressed studio records was decreased. Small algorithm improvements were made.

      Release Notes: This version features major algorithm changes, more stable detection of dithered MP3s. Accuracy was improved.

        Release Notes: The program now detects conversions from dithered MP3s too. Wildcards are supported. Reading from standard input (using a pipe) is supported. Conversions from some Oggs with -q 8-9 are detected.
