Release Notes: Resolution and display management functionality were improved. File and folder security information were added to the file manager. New hot-keys such as alt-tab window focusing were added. Dead-key support for international keyboards was added. Some bugs have also been fixed.

Release Notes: This release adds an all-new high-resolution icon set, including an auto-resize feature to rescale icons to the size of the display. New graphics optimizations and features include fade-enabled icons and menus, translucent effects, selective transparency, fast blending, shadow casting, and non-rectangular windows. High quality image resampling has been added for the enlargement and shrinking of images. Translucent scrollbars eliminate the obscuring of background content. All Athene desktop environments have been specially revised to demonstrate the new features.
