Release Notes: This release adds a new option to validate senders at connection time, using SMTP. This should reduce the number of email messages sent to invalid addresses. Delivery to pipes is now possible, allowing non-procmail users to forward their email messages to other accounts at will.
Release Notes: A bug that caused ASK to fail when using Remote Commands in text mode was fixed. A bug in the exception handling routine was fixed. The upgrade instructions in the documentation were improved. Upgrading is recommended.
Release Notes: Users can manipulate the pending queue as an IMAP folder. Danish and Finnish translations have been added. Lists can span multiple files and match on arbitrary headers. Regular expressions are properly escaped when added to the whitelist. There is improved matching for single email messages on the lists. Bulk/junk messages are now queued instead of saved to separate files. The X-ASK-Info header now contains a timestamp and the reason for delivery. There are many other new features and bugfixes. Upgrading is recommended.
Release Notes: Multiple problems with the RPM file have been fixed, the lists can now be used to match any SMTP header in the incoming mail, making integration with other anti-spam tools easier, and lots of other smaller bugfixes have been added.
Release Notes: This version contains a large number of new features and bugfixes. The lists (white/black/ignore) can now be spread over multiple files, eliminating possible editing conflicts. Queued messages can now be saved in "Maildir" format (allowing remote access to the queue via IMAP). Replies to a confirmation will now add both the "queued" address and the replying address to the whitelist. Also, the whitelist is now checked before the other lists, allowing entire domains to be ignored while some "trusted" accounts from these domains are allowed.
Release Notes: Messages previously sent to the Bulk and Junk mailboxes are now sent to the queue instead of specific mailboxes; the X-ASK-Info email header now contains a timestamp and a "history" of the processing done to the message, and also displays the matching whitelist line. Some bugfixes have been made and the code has been cleaned up. A Finnish translation has been added.
Release Notes: This is a major upgrade containing a number of new features, including remote queue and list management, better mail loop prevention, configurable languages in the confirmation messages, an option to send only part of the original message back to the sender during confirmation, Dutch and French translations, better bulk and junk mail handling, and an option to whitelist senders automatically if their mail contain your mail key. In addition, tons of bugs were ironed out. Upgrading is recommended.
Release Notes: A fix was made for a bug that caused a confirmation message to be sent to people in the blacklist. The rc_mymails directive is now handled in a case insensitive manner. A typo in the English confirmation template was fixed. The ASK PROCESS QUEUE remote command will also indicate that your queue is empty instead of sending back a blank email when no queued files are present.
Release Notes: Remote queue and list management is now available, and ASK will now limit the number of confirmation messages sent to a single email address in a given period of time. The languages present in the confirmation message can be selected in your configuration file. Only part of the original message (configurable) will be sent in the confirmation to save bandwidth. A Dutch translation was added. Messages coming with Precedence: Bulk are now saved to the "Bulk" folder (as opposed to Junk); senders will be whitelisted if their email contain the mailkey (configurable).
Release Notes: The home directory can now be specified on the command line with the "--home" switch (useful for Red Hat/Sendmail users). A small (but important) typo in the procmail installation instructions has been fixed.
