Arista
Arista is an easy-to-use multimedia transcoder for the GNOME desktop. It focuses on the goal of transcoding media, namely the devices you wish to play the media on. It is designed for use by people who are not familiar with audio and video encoding and want an easy way to get multimedia to their devices. It supports input from DVD and V4L devices as well as regular files.

Release Notes: This release fixes bugs and adds features. The code was ported from DBus+HAL to udev. Many small crashers or inconveniences were fixed. The ability to convert entire directories was implemented. Desktop notifications are used to show when a job completes. The device preset format was overhauled, and icons were added to presets. A simple preset generator was added. WebM is supported if you are using the latest version of GStreamer. New presets for the Web were added.
