Release Notes: This version includes major changes in the way Areca handles memory and archives' metadata. Memory usage has been reduced to a minimum: unlike previous versions, this release handles large numbers of files with very limited memory consumption. It is compatible with ACL and extended attributes (on Linux only). It comes with a new "Check archive" feature, which uses a SHA hash algorithm to ensure that recovered files are identical to the original ones.
