alived is a simple daemon and client for sending keepalive messages. The server keeps a list of hostname to IP address, useful for when a remote DHCP client changes IP addresses.

            Experimental alived server available
If you'd like to try out alived or don't have a server of your own to run it on, 'a.packetheads.org' is available.

It will always be running the latest daemon, so you're best off grabbing the latest client from http://sourceforge.net/projects/alived

            Enjoy!
