The captions file *does* treat directories the same way - try it! If you have any problems, let me know.

Organizing my fresh digital camera pictures used to be a hell, now I can simply add new material, rerun album, and whopla, there it all is.
The idea of the captions file is very interesting! Avoids explicit renaming of the files, and allows writing comments as one likes. It would perhaps be interesting to treat directories in de same way? While pictures may be organised in the background using dull foldernames (e.g. 20010830), they might be presented using a more sensefull name (e.g. Holiday 2001).
Anyway, it's great that it's so compact and small, and command-line!

Good Software
Very easy to use and works like a charm. The themes are a very nice touch.
Making the album script work under windows
Wow, making album work under windows is as easy as putting cygwin on your windows PC so that windows can interpret ./ properly. Runs like a champ, and is *way* better than any for purchase album packages. Way to go Mr author! you da man!
