Release Notes: 334 bugs were fixed. Additions include KahaDB persistent storage, Camel 2.0.0 along with its Web console, and support for stomp over SSL and NIO. Configuration was improved: the default one is production oriented and has a lot of use case configuration examples (like scalability and throughput). A broker can be queried for statistics from non-Java clients (by sending a message). More broker plugins are included to help tracing messages in networks. Logging was improved. FTP support for blob messages was added. activemq-admin was improved to lookup for local processes if possible.

Release Notes: Many new features were added, such as AMQ message store (which provides faster persistence), message cursors (which keep producers from blocking if you have a slow consumer), blob messages, a command agent, enterprise integration patterns (Camel integration), logging a warning if you forget to start a connection, message transformation, and mirrored queues.
