E-AcpiPower
The E-AcpiPower epplet is based on E-Power. It is modified to read battery status information using the new acpi kernel module, making it much more accurate and reliable than the old apm method.

Release Notes: Up to four separate batteries are now detected automatically and represented as one big virtual battery. There is no need to enter /proc/acpi path names anymore, as the relevant directories are now scanned for the appropriate files.
