There will be a 2.0.1 for Windows once some severe problems gets sorted out.

Version 2 for windows?
I couldn't find any notice whether there is or will be a version 2 for MS Windows? On the homepage there's only a download of version 1.99.6.

Thanks!

Re: This is still far from feature complete
I have to agree that it's not really feature
complete yet, but it is very promising.
I'm a huge fan of export to LaTeX. It was a big
help when I was still figuring out LaTeX and
didn't really know what I was doing yet. While it
does produce ugly LaTeX code, it's workable and
syntactically correct and was a big aid in seeing
how things work.

This is still far from feature complete
While I have to agree with the previous posters that this is really a very promising project in terms of speed and memory footprint, the program is still very far from feature complete. No tables, no footnotes, no styles, you can't really change the layout (headers and footers), no auto-hyphenation.

What is there (basic editing, import/export) is really good though, and surprisingly stable for a program in this stage of development. In another year or so this will definitively be a serious contender for open source word processing.

i love this...
this really is a great program and anyone wanting a decent word processor should use this, it is quick and well features, apart from the options and other bits. but i dont know where i would be without this, oh yeah, having to write my physics coursework out by hand!

nice..
abi word is probably the nicest word processor that i've ever used. while it is still missing key features (options namely..) it is still very useable. i really hope that the developers continue to make a great program.
