X Message Daemon is a background program which displays simple text-based messages on your X display. You can choose parameters such as color, font, icon, and duration. It also has a frontend Perl daemon and client.

Release Notes: This release features a random message displayer to remind you of daily things, a first attempt at moving config files to user directories, and a Perl interface (using SWIG) to Xmsglib, which will be used in other projects related to the Dave/Dina project.
