4MLinux is a miniature Linux distribution focusing on four capabilities: maintenance (by using it as a system rescue live CD), multimedia (for example, for playing video DVDs), miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and mystery (meaning console games).

Release Notes: This will be a core system (4.7 MB in size) for the 4MLinux 3.3 series. The system includes: Linux 3.3.1, glibc 2.13, and Busybox 1.19.4. All 4MLinux-3.3 applications have been compiled under Slackware 13.37 (x86/32-bit/SMP).


Release Notes: This is the final release of 4MLinux-3.2. It has all the features included in 4MLinux-3.2-rescue-edition, 4MLinux-3.2-media-edition, 4MLinux-3.2-server-edition, and 4MLinux-3.2-game-edition.


Release Notes: This is an updated version of 4MLinux-3.1-game-edition, using 4MLinux-3.2 as the core system. 4MLinux collection includes, among other things, the following items: classic "shoot'em up" games (Abuse, Doom, Heretic, Quake), Michael Speck's LGames (using SDL libraries), and DOSBox 0.74 with some DOS games. ec64 (commodore C64 emulator) is also available.


Release Notes: This is an updated version of 4MLinux-3.1-server-edition, using 4MLinux-3.2 as the core system. The servers controlled by the inetd daemon are FTP, HTTP, SFTP, SSH, and Telnet. A proxy server (Polipo 1.0.4.1) with Tor 0.2.2.35 are also available. The programming environment includes the CGI version of PHP 5.3.10, the minimal version of Perl 5.14.2, and SQLite 3.7.9. The main security components are 4MLinux Firewall (based on iptables 1.4.13) and Clam AntiVirus 0.97.3.
