Lernstick Exam Environment is a live Linux distribution with a focus on exam situations, usually installed on USB sticks. To provide up-to-date software choice on a solid base, it uses a combination of Debian stable with official and custom backports. Access to local storage media (internal hard drive, other USB storage media) or network access is prohibited per default, but certain network connections (e.g., to network printers or websites) can be allowed in a whitelist.
Release Notes: The default filesystem for the exchange partition was reverted to FAT32 because rdiff-backup does not (yet) support exFAT. The system partition now uses ext4 to support files larger than 4GB. A separate FAT32 boot partition was added. A desktop notification is now shown if an error occurs in the automatic backup process. Iceweasel and the NVIDIA drivers were upgraded.

The Free Pascal Compiler is a Turbo Pascal 7.0 and Delphi-compatible 32/64 bit Pascal Compiler. It comes with a fully TP 7.0-compatible run-time library. Release Notes: Perl 5.18.2 was rebuilt after it was noticed that the jar didn't work properly when used as a dependency, but worked fine on the command line. This was repeatable on Ubuntu running Eclipse. The latest jar was tested to work in CLI and Eclipse.
Clonezilla is a partition or disk cloning tool similar to Symantec Ghost. It saves and restores only blocks in use on the hard drive if the file system is supported. For unsupported file systems, dd is used instead. It has been used to clone a 5 GB system to 40 clients in about 10 minutes.
Release Notes: The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2014/Mar/10). The Linux kernel was updated to 3.13.5-1. The drbl package was updated to 2.7.32-drbl1, and clonezilla was updated to 3.9.36-drbl1. isolinux.bin and boot.cat are now sorted when creating an ISO file with genisoimage. A "-s|--semi-batch" option was added to the sample file gen-rec-usb. It is used to confirm only once, not every major step. Syslinux was updated to 6.03-pre7.
