Gwyddion is a modular SPM (Scanning Probe Microsope) data visualization and analysis tool. It can be used for all most frequently used data processing operations including: leveling, false color plotting, shading, filtering, denoising, data editing, integral transforms, grain analysis, profile extraction, fractal analysis, and many more. The program is primarily focused on SPM data analysis (e.g. data obtained from AFM, STM, NSOM, and similar microscopes). However, it can also be used for analyzing SEM (scaning electron microscopy) data or any other 2D data.
Release Notes: Two new data processing modules were added: Affine distortion correction and Otsu's thresholding. A number of file modules were updated or improved, namely NT-MDT, S94, Seiko, WSF, OLS, LEXT and NetCDF. Bugs in Graph cut and Volume show and extract were fixed. The Pygwy console is persistent and can exist only in one instance now. The toolbox was slightly rationalized.
DDMSence (pronounced "dee-dee-em-Essence") is the only Java library that fully supports the DoD Discovery Metadata Specification (DDMS). It provides a complete implementation of the DDMS specification using any DDMS version between 2.0 and 5.0. Validation is performed according to both the schema and the specification, and custom validation rules can be defined with ISO Schematron.

pmbw is a set of assembler routines to measure the parallel memory (cache and RAM) bandwidth of modern multi-core machines. Memory bandwidth is one of the key performance factors of any computer system. Today, measuring the memory performance often gives a more realistic view of the overall speed of a machine than pure arithmetic or floating-point benchmarks. pmbw contains a set of very basic functions which are all hand-coded in assembler to avoid any compiler optimizations. These basic functions are modeled after the basic inner loops found in any data processing, sequential scanning and pure random access. Any application will have a memory access pattern which is somewhere between these two extremes. The current version of pmbw supports benchmarking 16-, 32-, 64-, 128-, or 256-bit memory transfers on x86_32-bit, x86_64-bit, and ARMv6 systems.

The PCRE library is a set of functions that implement regular expression pattern matching using the same syntax and semantics as Perl 5, with just a few differences. PCRE is used by many programs, including Exim, Postfix, and PHP.
Release Notes: Performance has been improved by extending the "auto-possessification" feature. Backreferences to named subpatterns now check all with the same name; this and other changes improve compatibility with Perl. A number of bugs have been mended.
The j661 project provides a generic CDS (or ARINC 661 Server) in order to facilitate the understanding of the ARINC 661 standard, prototype ARINC 661 concepts and architectures, and facilitate the reuse of ARINC 661 specifications and artefacts between projects. The CDS architecture is designed to allow defining the Server behavior to be easily modified or extended. This is achieved by a modular plug-in architecture, allowing customization at runtime without changing anything in the Server core itself.

Mahotas is an image processing library for Python. It includes a couple of algorithms implemented in C++ for speed while operating in numpy arrays. The main algorithms are watershed and Otsu thresholding.

4MLinux is a miniature Linux distribution focusing on four capabilities: maintenance (by using it as a system rescue live CD), multimedia (for example, for playing video DVDs), miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and mystery (meaning console games).
Release Notes: This is an updated version using 4MLinux 7.2 as the core system. The 4MLinux collection includes, among other things, the following items: classic "shoot'em up" games (Abuse, Doom, Heretic, Hexen, and Quake), Liero (a realtime "Worms-like" game), Lincity (a construction and management simulation game), space shooters (XGalaga, Kobo Deluxe), and DOSBox 0.74 with some Freeware DOS games. OpenConnect server (ocserv) is an SSL VPN GNU/Linux server. Its purpose is to be a secure, small, fast, and configurable VPN server which depends on standard protocols like TLS 1.2 and Datagram TLS. It implements the AnyConnect SSL VPN protocol and is compatible with the OpenConnect VPN client (compatibility with other Anyconnect SSL VPN clients is experimental).

Pies is a Python 2 and Python 3 compatibility layer with the philosophy that all code should be Python 3 code. Starting from this viewpoint means that when running on Python 3, Pies adds virtually no overhead. Instead of providing a bunch of custom methods (leading to Python code which looks out of place on any version), Pies aims to backport as many of the Python 3 API calls, imports, and objects to Python 2 as possible, relying on special syntax only when absolutely necessary.

TAO Translator uses available online translation services to provide translations. Currently supported services: Google Translate (supports translation, language detection, dictionary, and reverse translations for single words); Microsoft Translator, a.k.a. Bing Translator (supports translation only); Yandex.Translate (supports translation and language detection); and Yandex.Dictionaries (supports dictionary with synonyms and reverse translations). More services are possible in the future.

GObject Builder (GOB) is a simple preprocessor for easily creating GObjects (glib objects). It reads a class description file with inline C code and produces .c and .h object files for you. It allows you to easily use most of the features of the GObject system and avoids typos by reducing the amount of code needed. In general, the amount of code is about the same as for OO languages such as Java or C++, but you still have to only use C and you get all the power of the GObject system.

decotengu is a dive decompression library to experiment with various implementations of the Buhlmann decompression model with Eric Baker’s gradient factors. The results of decotengu calculations are decompression stops and tissue saturation information. Third party applications can use those results for data analysis purposes or dive planning functionality.
Release Notes: This release adds NDL dive detection before dive ascent start. The 'dt-plot' script is reimplemented to use R core plotting functions (ggplot2 is no longer required, which gives a major performance gain), and legend plots generated by the script have been added. The documentation has been updated with a section about comparing dive decompression data with the 'dt-plot' script. This is the first beta release.
libefgy is a set of C++ headers containing lots of templates loosely related to maths. The headers include templates for fractional arithmetic, big integers (and thus "big fractions"), calculating π, e, and some calculations with those (for trigonometrics), matrix manipulations, tuples, polar and Euclidian spaces in arbitrary dimensions, (perspective) projections, colour space manipulations in RGB and HSL, and assorted other things.
Release Notes: This release adds some minor new features such as the vt100 terminal code and a matrix animation demo, and greatly improves the current state of the source code documentation. Additionally, a lot of code has been rewritten to use standard C++11 features where applicable.
Topologic is a simple renderer for certain higher-dimensional geometric primitives and some regular 3D shapes. The idea is to make it easy for students of certain higher-dimensional maths and physics topics to visualize the typical primitives in those fields and get a grasp for the topic.
Release Notes: This is primarily a maintenance release to work with the new libefgy-4. The only actual UI improvement in this release is in the iOS Topologic client, which should pop up on the App Store in a few days. As a small bonus, the source code is now fully documented with Doxygen.

SQLObject is an object-relational mapper, i.e., a library that will wrap your database tables in Python classes and your rows in Python instances. It currently supports MySQL through the 'MySQLdb' package, PostgreSQL through the 'psycopg' package, SQLite, Firebird, MaxDB (SAP DB), MS SQL, and Sybase. It should support Python versions back to 2.4.
